On my homepage is a link to my #wattpad account, where you can read my #manuscript in progress I am super excited to have a meeting with a #publisher this summer, getting me one step closer to my dream of seeing my book on the shelves at Barnes and Noble.
I have registered for the writer's conference at the University of Northwestern in St. Paul, Minnesota.
On my blog, I'll post little snippets of the #book with the intention to entice you to visit my page on Wattpad to read the whole thing.

Alyssa rolled her eyes. “Now I remember why I shouldn’t bother wasting my time with you,” she stated, taking one more puff of her cigarette before throwing it to the ground. Didn’t bother to make sure it was put out, I might add. She linked her arm with Leather Jacket and took her malt back, with a sneer in my direction.
“Nice meeting you,” I blurted out to him, relieved that this was finally coming to an end.
Instead of walking away with Alyssa, he paused for a moment. “Beg ‘pardon?” he inquired. “I never once said hello to you.” Irish. He had an Irish accent.
More rude, much?

“Oh, I just – I just figured I’d – at least say that. Since we – we waited in line and all. Both of us last – last in line.” Oh. My. Lanta, could I sound anymore ridiculous? And what the what, why couldn’t he just say ‘nice to meet you too’? Then we could be done and I could go home and hyperventilate in peace.
I realized he hadn’t said his name to me, but since he knew mine, I figured why not? “I’m – I’m Kaelin, by the way,” I lamely added.
Alyssa made that sound again.
“Liam Coleman,” he replied.
I forced a smile on my face and the pounding in my chest calmed down when they turned around and walked away. My hands were still shaking, though.
Alyssa glanced over her shoulder, smirked at me and made sure to speak loud enough so I could hear her. “It’s easy. Just ignore her,” she said to Liam.
Liam walked arm in arm with her and followed her stare towards me. He shrugged his shoulders. “If you say so.”
The corners of my eyes burned and I pleaded with myself not to do it. Don't. Cry. Not here where everyone can see you. People will think you're childish and stupid. I inhaled as deep as I could before walking in the opposite direction of Liam and Alyssa. My phone rang and when I looked to see who it was, I was relieved. The heaviness of that conversation was finally being lifted. I hit the green button to answer.
